Hi guys,

this is a cool forum, glad i found it.  I am going to be putting a 12 inch infinity sub in the trunk of my car.  This might be a stupid question, but here it is anyway.  How can i prevent the box from moving around?  I live on a dirt road that has a lot of potholes and the paved roads in my area aren't much better.  I have done 4 or 5 installs for friends, but they just let the box sit loose in the trunk, and i dont like that.  what are your ideas?

I am not looking for anything fancy, just functional, and i am using a sealed box

thanks

paul

You can bolt it to the existing floor (be careful not to hit any lines or the gas tank!) using regular bolts run through the box (make sure to seal around the hole afterwards), or brackets on the outside. Even velcro will work if you have enough of it and you're not worried about security!

Or you can try putting something really heavy on it like bricks or somethings...j/k. I'd go with brackets on the outside, will make things a lot easier for you to move or take out the box, ect. If you decide to do so.

2 to 3 pieces of one-foot strip of Velcro staple to the underneath of you box will be more than adequate to keep your box steady down any bumpy road.

while the bricks on top of the box sounds like a good solution (j/k), i think i will use the velcro idea.

Thanks guys.
