Subject: 6.5 coax speakers recommendations?

I am looking to upgrade my speakers from the current Polk GXR series speakers that I started out with. Can you guys give me some suggestions or recommendations? I am looking for a pair less than $200 if possible. I've been looking at the Alpine Type R , MB Quart Discus, JL Audio VR series or C2 series, or the Infinity Reference or Kappa series speakers. I am also open to other brands, as long as they are less than $200. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I'm also looking at the Diamond Audio D6 series.

So far, no help. Please, someone respond. I could use the opinions. Thanks.

Can't go wrong with the Diamonds! Great Stuff!
I would not recommend Focal! Highly over rated IMO.

Not bad, stevdart. Have any experience with this speaker or just something you saw that caught your fancy? What also are your impressions of this speaker as compared to the ones I listed?

I kinda like this from the specs. And obviously the price. Thanks.

I used Vifa drivers (primarily) in my home theatre 5.1 system.  Although not the same models, or line, the brand is the same.  Since I built those, the Vifa brand (from Denmark) was bought by  Tymphany  and the brand restructured.  I believe, though, that the build house in Denmark remained in operation.  These coaxials are the first coaxial Vifas I have seen.  I figure for the price they certainly could be worth a try, considering you are not dealing with a custom component crossover network...and can quickly be replaced if inadequate.

I'm not familiar with the coaxials currently on the car audio market, so no help from me in that dept.
