on my headunit i set my bass all the way down. and i set the bass bandwidth at 4. having a little trouble on the frequencies for the bass; when i put the frequency at 200 by sub gets really loud but my highs dont sound so clear and loud. but when i put the bass frequency at 60 my highs sound good but not that much power coming from my sub. i tried "EQing" it myself but cant seem to get it right. thanks and peace.

Do you have the HP filter set on your amp instead of a LP? Because it is doing the opposite of what it should be doing. That or you maybe have the RCA's not plugged in the subwoofer RCA output.

are you talking about the 4 channel amp? it suppose to be set a HP. and all my RCA's are good.

Does your 4 channel have a hp and lp filter.If it does make sure that all your wiring to the sub is set to the lp channels and all the wiring for the mids/highs is set to the h/p channels.It sounds like something is backwards with your wiring double check that if you havent already.

Most 4 channels have a h/p filter that is set to two channels of the amp and l/p filter set to two channels of the amp.I was thinking that maybe you had your sub connected to your h/p channels.Try your bass frequency at 80 and set your mids /highs correctly with your gain.Also make sure your gain is set properly for both your bass and mid/highs

yeah the amp is on 4 channel and set on HP. ima double check though. also im going to see if i can EQ it better. thanks for the help.

does your amp have h/p and l/p or only h/p? if it has both yo need to figure out which of the four channels is l/p and hook those 2 up to your sub with the l/p on.the other 2 channels should run your mids /highs with your h/p off or on depending on whether or not you have a crossover .could you please list your entire setup?

the rf punch amp is old. it only has a gain. no bass EQ. and it has a micro chip, i can choose hp or lp. and has a switch for 2 channel and 4 channel. i have it at hp and 4 channel. check out the manual. RF Punch 240x4

Is the RF powering your subs? I think its the mrp-500 but just want to be sure.Your four channel should be powering your front and rear speakers.not your sub. I would set your bass at 80 and set your highs as best you could and call it good with that old amp . Or get a new 4 channel with more features.
