I recetly ordered two DD2501a dvc 2 ohm subs and now im wondering, What kind of amp would be ideal for these subs? Would mono, two channel or four channel be the best? These subs rms at 750w each and peak at 3000w. Thanks in advance

You're going to want atleast 1500 watts of power. I'd recommend a mono amp. If you can find one stable at .5 ohms, cool. Here are a few that I've found:

And there are many more out there. But those are just a few. However, I'm not sure if they are stable at .5 ohms (for the most power).

Hope that atleast gives you an idea as to what you should look for.

Crap...apparently they don't like the site I was linking from. Well, the 3 broken links are for:
SPL FX1-3000D
Power Acoustik OVN1-3000D
Rockford Fosgate Power T20001bd

A mono amplifier, rated 1500W @ 2 ohms will be optimal. Finding a REAL 1.5kW @ 2 ohms will be a real chore, but there ya go. DVC 4 ohm would have been a far easier choice to locate an appropriate amplifier.
jdalphin... The links were not "broken", they were "edited" by the 12volt servers. You were trying to link to ebay auctions - something not allowed by the servers, AND something you said you KNEW was not allowed when you read the rules... You DID read the rules, didn't you?
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I wasn't linking to ebay auctions. If I was, I didn't know it. I was linking to, or atleast attempting to link to, stuff at Sonic Electronics. And yes, I have read the rules.
hemmy12...that amp is discontinued, so says Sonic Electronics. But yes, if you can find one of those, it'd be perfect. Wire your subs to 2 ohms, hook up the amp, and you'd have it right on the money-ish. Amps are never 100% accurate to what they put out. Some of RF's 2500's are known to put out 3300+ watts.
