Hi - Been a long time visitor but never posted. I did a search for this and found nothing so don't flip out on me if its been asked (which I'm sure it has).

There are 2 HUs I'm looking at. Same brand - same basic model. One has an ipod interface and blue display; the other a USB input and a red display. I want the USB input with a blue display to match my dash.

How difficult is it to order the blue "bulbs" (?!) and swap them out? I realize it will violate the warranty but I'm not talking a $500 unit anyways. Not sure I would attempt it myself - I'm half tempted to call an authorized service center and see if they'd do it.

wow,
well usually these "bulbs" are not bulbs. They are called L.E.D.
and they are solder onto the board of the face.
Not an easy task to swap.

I know they're not actual "bulbs" - but have ordered similar parts before for displays that went out and thats what they called them. I know its a serviceable part, but was wondering if anyone had ever done it is all.

A brand and a model number would help A LOT.
