I recently purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with a single disc cd player and 4 speaker system. I want to put the 7 speaker Infinity package with the Infinity amp in it. What do I need to do this and how is it wired up? I already have the Infinity Stock amp and the Stock Infinity speakers. I need help a how to install this where to install this and what I need to make this a complete install. I am eventually going to get a cd/dvd/navigaion unit for the vehicle. Any recommendations? Please help.

Yes here is some advice. Just because you have something does not mean you should use it. Just because it says Infinity on it does not make it good. If you are planning on going to a dvd nav system in the future, leave the stock crapola with a name on it in the garage where it belongs (at least it does not say Bose on it, then Hazmat would have to attend, maybe even Ghostbusters). You will go far far far further in your quest for sound if you use real aftermarket audio gear and not the crap with a name on it.

Sometimes unfortunately advice comes in the form of something that you do not want to hear or are not prepared to hear. This might be one of those times and while I don't want to belittle what you do have, it is the long term goals that I consider.

Forbidden is somewhat right. It will sound better with aftermarket stuff BUT i personally like factory head units for many reasons. The infinity stuff will not exactly POP in. You have to wire the amplifier up between the speakers. You might want to check behind the glovebox and see if there is 2 harnesses chilling up by the firewall. And when I mean behind the glovebox I mean take majority of your center dash apart. It is pretty labor intensive.

So in my 2 cents, If you want a headache you can probably fit the factory stuff in there. But I would recommend sticking with the factory unit, then probably run aftermarket speakers/amps. I would put one amp under each side of the front seats.
