I was searching for subwoofers at Best Buy this weekend, and the head installer there was helping me out looking at some. He picked out the Kenwood KFC-W3012 and he demoed 2 of them in a vented box and they sounded extremely clean. Then I told him I have a single cab Ranger, and he told me these fit in this box...

Has anyone had any experience with this? And this box has the same dimensions as the box below... But the one from Best Buy has that little black piece in the back to extend mounting depth. Perhaps the box below with a 3/4" spacer?
I don't have a computer or the knowledge really of how to determine mathematically if it'll fit... If anyone can help, that'd be GREAT.

Here's the sub:

The box I want:

Any prefabricated box will not yeild the best results from any sub.     I would shop around and try to find a shop that would be willing to build you a custom box for the right price.

If you buy a sub amp combo from many shops you can get a enclosure built for your application for a very decent price

I would think if you check around you should be able to find a shop willing to build a single sub truck box to sub spec for less then $100.

Where are you ocated and I will see if I know any shows in the area
