I have a set of infinity kappa 6.5 component speakers in all four doors of my car. I have them ran off a alpine cda-9886. I am wanting to add a four channel amp to my system, and have been looking at the alpine mrp-f300. The kappa components claim to run at 2 ohm. Don't most speakers run at 4 ohm? Or is it that component sets run at 2 ohm? Is my stereo 2 ohm stable then?

Your stereo probably isn't designed for 2 ohm loads, but you'll be fine as long as you don't push the system too hard.

Yes the Kappa are 2 ohm component sets.

Okay, i guess i just wasnt sure because no where in the specs of my radio have i seen the recommended ohm load. Just making sure that i'll be pushing enough wattage to the components. The 2 ohm load should bring it to about 75 watts a pair rms. Thanks
