I am trying to wire a Rockford Fosgate amp (400x1@4ohms, 200x2@2ohms, 100x2@4ohms) to a alpine type-r DVC 4ohm. I have two of each (2 10" Type-R, 2 RF P400.2 amps). Is there a certain way to wire them up so that I am getting a 4 ohm lead from the bridged amp at 400x1? If not, what would be the best way? Everywhere says you can only get a 8ohm lead or 2 ohm lead off the amp unless you ran each channel to to a seperate coil.

Wiring in series will give you 8ohms, in parallel will give you 2ohms. Can't the amp run on 2 ohms?

It can't run 2 ohms bridged. THIS is the issue.

You are stuck with one coil per channel, or bridging into 8 ohms. Either way, it is EXACTLY the same amount of power.

Also, you will have less than a 3dB difference between the way you are searching for, or the safe options that are in hand.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Thanks for the responses!

Question 1: If I bridgethe sub in 8 ohms, will my amp still push it safely even though the amp is 4ohms when bridged?

Question 2: The amp can push out either 2 or 4 ohms per channel. If I do it one channel per coil, at what ohms will the sub be pushing? and will all I have to do is take the neg and pos from one channel to the neg and    pos on one coil than same with the other channel and coil,(with no bridging the coils)?

Disregard, should have searched a little harder. Found all my answers in another thread. Was hoping to get the max power out my setup below since i got 2 of each. Any suggestions let me know or if wireing them all together somehow will get me max power
