Alright, I currently have two 12's, in a 3 cube, two chamber box. I'm planning on upgraded to something, be it two, better 12's able to run off the same amp, or a big 18 on the same amp. Amp = Kenwood KAC-9104D...I think that's the model. Currently running two Kenwood W3012s.

Here's what I'm thinking...

Budget (selected through Sonic Electronix):
2 x SPL SP2-12 (600 watts each...4ohm DVC)
2 x Power Acoustik (700 watts each...4ohm DVC)

Higher End:

2 x DC Audio Lvl 3 (600 watts each...4ohm DVC)
2 x Fi SSD (800 watts each...4ohm DVC)
2 x AA Arsenal (500 watts each...4ohm DVC)

All out rebuild:

1 x Fi BL 18 w/ a 4.5-5 ft^3 ported box @ 32-35hz depending on what I want...lol.
1 x DC Level 4 with the same box as above

Don't say anything about getting a new amp. I'll get one when needed. What I have right now, is about as much as I can get out of my car without killing the electrical system.

The ones that show 2x, are all 12" subs. Reason I listed those, was because it'll be an easy upgrade to a louder system. Don't get me wrong, the W3012s get it done, but I want it louder. Lol.

Personally, what do you think I should do. At the moment, I'm on a budget, so the two budget systems are looking tasty to me, however, the one 18" BL is getting my attention as well. I'll probably upgrade, after christmas so that I can save up some cash, and get everything at once. :D

I wouldn't waste money on cheap overrated crap like SPL or PA

Why don't you post your budget you'll get many more suggestions.

Of the subwoofers you've listed I would say keep looking.

My budget is in the 200-300 dollar range. I just found a company that still has RE SE 12's available. Good choice? I'm thinking either the Kicker X series, or the R series to save some cash, the RE SE series, or one BL 18.

With that in mind, would I be better off with 2 x 12" AA Arsenals, or 1 18" Fi BL/Q (not sure which I'd go with). And on a side note, which Fi model. The BL or Q? They both take the same amount of RMS (if I read the specs for them correctly), and they both have 18" models, with the option of either a 1ohm DVC or 2ohm DVC.

Quit looking at the power handling capacitoes of the drivers. You WILL make a bad decision if you base your purchase specifically on the power handling of the driver.

Budget first, SPL or SQ next, (based on your opening post, lean toward SPL drivers) and finally space AVAILABLE vs. space required.

You are also wrong in thinking that a larger driver or a higher power handling driver will be "louder". This is NOT the case. The sensitivity of the driver and the enclosure will play far more into the hands of output than what you think is/are the requisite parameter(s).

With the power you currently have, I can almost guarantee that the Fi or the BTL will NOT be louder in sheer numbers with the amp you are using.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

A friend recommended either two DC Level 3 12's, or the two AA's. What would be a better choice?
