Cheap, good, reliable (pick 2) j/k
Your speaker selection is great, the infinity's are some of the best stuff they carry. Do you have a factory or aftermarket radio though? If aftermarket, which model are you using?

forbidden - hm.. i dont really know, the cheaper the better. i would say around the $400.
yimke - cheap and good.
i want good sound quality, good bass.
i looked at this set right here:
https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Type-R-SWR-1222D-subwoofer-driver/dp/B000CF7WZE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252723577&sr=1-1
but this is way to expensive and that's not even everything needed.
i have a 2002 chrysler neon with factory audio.. havent changed anything so everything is bad. my speakers are f#@!ed, bass is in the speakers and its horrible.

$400...Its going to be tough there...! Maybe just start w/ Stereo and speakers...And Yes, the subs are only for bass...! I dont see any way to do it for $400...!

You can Probably find a Package deal..That has subs, box, amp all together...This will sound ok...and you might be able to come close to that budget...But lets say Interior speakers are at least going to be Around $120 for 2 pair of decent speakers...But i would recommend installing a aftermarket cd player as well...Lets say another $120...That only leaves $160 for everything else...Amp,Subs,Box,Amp Kit,Stereo Mounting Kit,Stereo Harness...?

Your budget is waaaaay too low for your expectations, especially here in Canada. Where in BC are you? Do this upgrade a step at a time, a cd player and one pair of speakers to start. Then add the second set of speakers. Then add a amp to power the front speakers and a future sub. Then add the sub / box.

ok.. i kind of get the picture now.
$600 will be the max i can probably go for
i dont want to go in steps, just wanna buy everything and install it.
i just need to know what to buy and where.
i live in coquitlam (next to SFU burnaby).
so far as i understand, i need:
speakers, Amp, Subs, Box, Amp Kit, Stereo Mounting Kit, Stereo Harness and i need a deck too right?
im sure all of that can fit in $600, cuz i got a friend who had 12' subs and nice touch screen deck.. and everything was 6 bills.

do you guys think this would be a good deal?
https://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/pts/1365719779.html
if yes, what do i have to buy in addition to that, like what type of amp, Amp Kit, Stereo Mounting Kit, Stereo Harness.. and what type of deck if i need one.

Buying a used sub is never a good deal. It is the most abused part of a stereo. Your budget is going to severly limit the system on you. You are best off adding the sub and amp at a later date or buy the sub and wait to buy an amp. You are literally more than likely going to get absolute crap for the investment you have if you try and do it all with $600,00 and that is a huge waste of money.

Until you add the US - CDN $ exchange, import duties, taxes and shipping charges to Canada...... then no warranty to the customer here means he has to pay to send it back..... think of what is in the customers best interest. Canada is a whole different ball game to the US when it comes to items like this. ------------- Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

hi guys,
i need your opinion once more.
would this be a good system:
Sony Xplod Mono Amplifier (XM-GTR6001) - $250
Sony 12" Car Subwoofer (XSL124P5B) - $70
Scosche 12" Single Subwoofer Sealed Box (SE12KT) - $60
JVC MP3/WMA CD Car Deck (KD-R200) - $100
Total: $480
and i heard a lot that sony is bad. i dont care if the quality isnt perfect.. all i need is bass that can shake some people a bit from outside, but not make them fall.. if you know what i mean :D
i need it to work for life (long time) and just do its job.

While i am not familiar with amp/sub you mentioned...I AM NOT A FAN OF SONY...And to the last part of your post...(long time)...I just dont see that happening...The jvc is a base cd player...Maybe try to get forbidden's attention again(sorry forbidden, should of left this post to you...!!!!)...He is in canada too...And can help w/ local distributors...And get you close to the price range you want...With warranty etc...And maybe some better equipment...! The part of your post that i highlighted...Re-read it...Anything...? ------------- M.E.C.P & First-Class

my friend has Sony Xplod 12' in his car and it sounds great..
i think i will just stick to it cuz thats the cheapest i could find (locally in canada).
btw. my friend told me that you need to some how screw down the sub box to the floor in the trunk so it doesnt move around (when drifting :D )
so he bought a big chunk of wood and cut it to fit the dimensions of his car's trunk and then screwed the bow to the wood/new floor.
is it the only way to keep it stationary?

there are many ways of securing it to the floor L-brackets work good, you can screw them to the metal floor (make sure you look where you are screwing into) This is usually the way i go and it works very well.

If Sony suits you, then rock it. Probably wont be any use to talk you out of the scosche amp wiring kit or that box....Gosh, there is no where else in the world to find more genuine advice about any subject.
