I have two kicker cvr's dual 2 ohms, what would be the best amp.

I was recommended: is that good?

We do sell a few soundstorm amps here and there...But for the most part...They are junk...! ITs funny...When i sell one... most of the customers thinks its soundstream...! How much is the amp...What do you want to spend...?

The amp cost 149.99 online.
But I'm willing to spend 200 nuthin too outrageous. But I want an amp that is going to push my subs though. Aha make the trunk fly off.

Here are the specs on those subs...Lets see what we can get you into for around $200.00...! What type of enclosure are they currently in...? Is there something already installed in the car, or does the amp still need wires ran...? Are you installing yourself...? If so...What size power wire are you using...? Memphis makes some pretty good amps...And the on-line pricing is not bad...The one that comes to mind is the PR1.500...I dont know much about Kickers pricing...Im sure you could match something up there too...!

Two 2 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

Option 1 (parallel/parallel) = 0.5 ohm load
Voice coils wired in parallel, speakers wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at ¹/₂ ohm mono

Option 2 (series/parallel) = 2 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1 ohm mono

Option 3 (series) = 8 ohm load
All voice coils wired in series
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono

I have a vented box, the amp was giving to me its a pioneer 760 watts, it overheats alot. my power wire is an 8 gauge but im about to install a 2 gauge. Thanks for your help.

Look into a kicker zx750.1, its a little more expensive but its 2 ohm stable which is what you need and it will push well over the rated 750 rms. I have experience with kicker amps and they are reliable and very beasty. You wont be sorry.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but let's do the math:

86.7dB per woofer. Two of them nets you 89.7dB sensitivity, at 2 watts. For every doubling of power, you gain 3dB.

2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024

That's eight even doublings. 8 X 3 = 24dB (and a little more, as your RMS power handling is 800 watts for the pair, about half-way through the ninth doubling...)

Net sensitivity = 89.7dB, plus 24dB = 113.7dB PEAK output! HARDLY the kind of SPL I would expect to "remove your trunk lid". You need different woofers, my friend. Those are not going to make you happy, if pure SPL is what you are seeking... Even with peak power being sent to them (1600 watts) and with cabin gain, if you even make it to the mid 120's, I would be quite surprised. Now, while mid-120's is still VERY loud, it is nowhere near "SPL competition levels".

Additionally, since you can only come up with a (generally safe for nearly all readily available amplifiers today) 2-ohm load, you can expect to potentially lose up to 3dB from those numbers, due to the reduced power output from the amplifier...

Make sure ground wire is same size...! Also upgrade wire from negative battery terminal to chassis ...You can probably use a little extra lenght off of power wire...! Make sure your ground is in a proper location, cleaned...etc...! Make sure you fuse for that 2 gauge...!
