Ok, I found a cable in my room that looks like a jumper cable that would come with a Type R DVC sub and I'm not sure where it came from. It either came from my Type R subwoofers, the PDX 1.1000 amp, or my Alpine CDE 9881 head unit. It has a male plug on one end and I'm not sure what the name of the other end is. It's like the end of the cable that you twist on to a old TV to get reception. Where did this come from and what do I use it for?

I wanted to ask another question as well. It might sound stupid but, well, look whose talking. Ok Most of you know my setup, 2 Alpine Type R 1042D, PDX 1.1000 amp. If I wire another amp(Kicker KX 250.2) off the PDX, would that allow me to wire the subs parallel/parallel into a 1 ohm load?

For the first question: A picture would be invaluable at this point. I can imagine LITERALLY a thousand cables that would match your description.
For the second question: Huh? Run both of two different amps on the same woofers?? I don't understand what you are asking?

Yeah I don't have a camera so I can't send a picture of that cable. The best I can do is narrow it down to it either coming with the type R's, the amp, or the head unit. I only have one so I don't think it came with the subs unless I lost one of them. It's a cable about 7-8 inches long. About the two amps, I was wondering if I used both the amps, would those subs share the same power from both amps and would having the second amp allow me to wire the two subs into 1 ohm whereas you could not do this with just the one PDX amp.

If you are wanting to strap your amps, they usually have to be compatible, meaning the same brand, same power ratings etc..

Additionally, strapping USUALLY requires the load be LOWER, (meaning a higher impedance) so running 1-ohm will rarely, if EVER be a viable or safe option.
