my amp isnt getting power from the battery. i took the battery to get checked and its good. i put a test light on the wire coming from the battery to the amp  and got no power,used a new wire and still got no power from the battery. amp is good. now what?

Check the fuse.

Make sure the connection between the battery terminal and the wire is actually good connection?

Judging by your post, I would make an appointment to have it checked by a profesional.

yes,would my voltage regulator have anything to do with it?(its an older car) it was working fine then it just stopped a few months later.

Does the amp ever turn on?  If it comes on when the engine is not running, but does not stay on when you start the engine, then yes your voltage regulator could be a problem.  If the amp has never came on, the regulator is not your problem.

thanks for the help i found the problem(i should kick my own a@#) now my speakers are bumping when i turn the volume to one. btw i forgot i added a piece to my power wire to make it longer and where they connected had burned so thats why i wasnt getting powerposted_image
