What is the right frequency range for a 6 1/2 woofer?  I am running an mb quart 6 1/2 set up front with a ppi deq 230, kenwood amp and pioneer head unit im having a little troble tuning the system..... i also listen to alot of differant kinds of music from rock, hip hop, jazz, pop ect. please help.

There is nothing necessarily "correct". The proper range would be whatever the mid can handle on the low end, and up to wherever the tweeter crosses in on the high end.

With the Quarts, I would say around 100 to 120Hz up to 3500Hz, or so.

With the information you provided, especially the part about rap, I'd also make sure that you have as steep a crossover as you can set on the mid-bass hi-pass.

the set did come with the x-overs but 40 to 80zh still comes through so i tune them out with the eq but the xover in the amp is set at 90hz so i guess the amp night have a problem.
