i have a '89 bronco 2 that ive had for a while now and love the hell out of it, i got a bit of money coming in from the family and ive been thinking about putting a stereo in it and i think ive got the subs and amp planned out, i was thinking about the kicker l7 becouse my cargo area isnt all that big and ive heard that the l7s can be run in a smaller box and still sound good, for my amp i was thinking of the HIFONICS XXV COLOSSUS, what does everyone think?

What is your goal for this setup? By that I mean are you trying to get a lot of output, good sound quality, deep bass, etc. A smaller box is a priority as well, correct? Also, what kind of budget are you looking at?
I'm not a fan of Hifonics or the L7 but the L7 can be good for some setups. It just depends on what you are looking for in your setup.

i want some thing that sound clean in the highs with nice deep bass, i do a LOT of freeway driving so i want it to sound clean at high levels i dont think 135-140db is to much to ask for. ive kindda got my mind set on a set of 12s, 6x9 component in the rear, 4" component in the front, a kinetik KHC3800in the back and a optima d31t yellow top and a 200 amp alt to back up my winch and light

140 db with a single 15 in a smaller than normal sealed enclosure isn't really in the future

that why im thinking of two 12s, and ive heard that the l7s run there best in a small(0.9-1.4)cu.ft. box, but im wondering if the HIFONICS XXV COLOSSUS would be too much for two 12" l7s
