guys.....i'm a newbie and needs help. I'm trying to install a sony md deck in my '99 dodge dakota....i've done several installs on toyotas, mazdas, nissans, geos which were very easy to do. i can't figure out who to get into my dash to install this new hu. is there any install guides or pics available that i can get.....sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but any help is very much appreciated!!!

I don't remember if this vehicle is the same as the 2000 models, but if so this guide should help you out:

If your factory radio has rounded corners, you're gonna need the CDK-636 dash kit from American International.  If it has square corners, you'll need the CRB-630.  Also you're gonna need a wiring harness to hook it up to the factory wiring.  Should be the Metra 70-1817 or equivalent.

Oh hell yes.  Minidiscs kick azz!  I wish people would wisen up and convert to minidiscs rather than using those big CD's that get scratched up all the time :)

I really appreciate the help...and blacksaga i can't agree with you more. MD is so much nicer and what makes the whole deal even sweeter was that I got the Sony MD deck brand new for $73

DVD is even nicer :) Just too expensive in cars at the moment.
