So, i'm using my old 4 channel amp (pioneer gmx404), 3 speaker setup, one channel bridged to my 12" sub (old pioneer ts-w302) in a perfectly built sealed enclosure. Radio powering the front two stock speakers at the moment. I have more than enough thunderous bass as it is right now, really satisfied. What i want? To connect two new front door speakers to the amp's unused second channel. I already own a pair of old pioneer ts1750 speakers, which i would be able to fit in the doors, but in my old car, i found them sounding rather harsh. I listen to all kinds of music ranging from drum 'n bass to jazz and rock. Hence why i have built a suited sealed enclosure for the sub, which, again i'm really satisfied with. Can you recommend me an ideal set of speakers for the front doors, to complete this setup? I want to achieve that warm christal clear all-round musical hi-fi sound. I would rather not go for a crossover/filter setup in front, just to keep it simple enough and budget wise. Any advice would be appreciated (brands/types), thanks in advance.

Whatever speakers you do decide on, connect them to the amplifier and use radio power for the rear speakers if necessary.

Intending to spend 50 to 100 dollars. I'm not going to use radio power, just the amp, one sub in the back, two speakers in front door pannels.

I thinks some mb quartz or apline ,kenwood 6.5 " speakers would be good ,I know you dont want a component set but i would consider it ,to me they just sound alot cleaner, the crossover is not hard to hook up and they are not that much more expensive. I would go to a local dealer and listen to some sets and see what you like then go from there

I do realize that two dedicated seperate speakers with a filter will give better result than one in the doorpannel. Butget is not really the issue here, i want to keep the installation simple. To mount the tweeter on top of the dash, as with component sets, don't i have to loosen/take of the dash to get twe wires to those corners?

What kind of vehicle do you have? You dont have to mount the tweeter on the dash . In fact I believe that manufacturers recommend that the tweeter stay within 6 -10" of the woofer.Even if you did want to put it on the dash you can usually find an open area from underneath and just wire through it.The hardest part will be taking off your door panels but you have to do that anyway.

I have a Peugeot 306, small european car. Everything is finished now, i've mounted my old ts-1750's in the doors, had to make spacing rings for those to fit, powered by the amp. Filled up my sealed enclosure for the old ts-w302 with rockwool, which is connected bridged to the amp. Works like a charm, really satisfied. This didn't cost me a thing except for the wood, screws and wires. Takes up little to almost no room, very clean looking nothing to see from the outside and goes incredibly loud, makes the whole car shake with only three speakers. There's not as much "spread" as in my friend's car, who has a comp setup with several speakers, but still, using only like 15 year old equipment, i'm actually very happy. Will post pictures of it soon.
