I have a panasonic DEH-p4400 Cd Player and a DHD-ntx2009  1000watt 4 channel Amp with two IMPP subs they are 400 Watts a piece, is it possible to bridge my amp with the subs not getting blown, and if so how?

I'm pretty sure you can do it but just to be sure do you have the model # or do you know how many ohms each sub is also are they DVC or SVC?

lol I knew that sounded like a Pioneer model number.... anything with DEH is always gonna be pioneer.

As for the bridging question, it all depends on what kind of subs they are; i.e. whether or not they are DVC, and what impedence each voice coil is.  Most likely you can bridge the 4 channels into 2 channels, and as long as the subs have voice coils of 4 ohms or higher you will be alright.  Or I guess if you had 2-ohm voice coils you could wire them in series and then run that bridged to two channels, but best way to do it is with a dvc sub that has 2 4-ohm voice coils.

I;'m guessing those pioneer subs are not DVC, in which case you will definitely be able to run them bridged to the amp with no problems.
