hello. I did some searching on here. Could not find anything on this.

I own a 1988 Honda Crx Si. I am trying to locate the 8 pin din wire that connects the OEM head unit to the OEM EQ. It was a factory honda option. i have located the part number for my EQ.   i have also found a part number for a EQ installation kit (not sure what is included in this kit?).

Honda Factory EQ part # 08118-SE322AH

Honda Factory EQ install kit part # 08118-SH285AH

If anyone knows where i can find the original wire or similar wire with same pin out let me know.

Any and all info is appreciated. Thank you.

Hmmm. I got nothing.

On most of the Honda EQs I have seen, the cable was hard wired into the EQ and plugged into the radio.  It should come with the EQ.

Mine might have been hard wired to the factory head unit (which was not with the car upon purchase) my EQ has the female 8 pin connecting end on the back side of the unit.

i will try to do a more thorough search.

No need for an apology, he was commenting on the fact that I have made 6,666 posts here.
If your EQ has a jack on the back of it, there must be a separate cable.  Have you called the Honda dealer to see what all comes in the installation kit.  They should have a picture of the kit.  It may be a crude drawing, but they should be able to tell you if there is a cable with it.

Lucifer Out!!!
