I put an Alpine PKG-RSE2 overhead DVD into a Toyota Sequoia tonight and everythings great.... EXCEPT that the radio has to be cranked (so loud that you get background hiss. I mean seriously to MAX) to get usable (barely) sound. IR Headphones sound great, but the FM modulator is just not cutting it.  Checked all menu settings and tried multiple frequencies, to no avail.

I tried Googling for info, but only found someone had the EXACT same problem... but no cure. :(

Anyone got an idea?

Any input jacks on the deck? If so run it wired to see if it that fixes it.
