hey

i have a 15 inch dual 2 ohm alpine type r wired at 1 ohm on a 820wrms 1 ohm stable amp, whenever i turn it up to a fairly moderate volume the sub has started making strange sounds... like it has something up against it ive pulled the sub out of the box and it still makes this noise.

is my sub blown ? or what else could be the issue it was working perfectly then all of a sudden started making this sound.. it sounds just like when a sealed enclosure has a panel come loose and it rattles against itself

When you push in on the sub can you hear this noise...? Sounds like its the voice coil...! Sounds like too much power, gains not set properly...!Theres a sticky for setting gains...!

i just had the same problem with a memphis power reference 12. I took it to the audio store from which i bought it and they said that its a cracked dust cap. does it sound like the woofer is just rattling?
