The HU is already installed, I will take it out tomorrow and look for a blue connector that, that piece will hook into.

According to the description in the link you posted, yes that is what you need.

So with the specific cable i have the link above for, i can just plug it into the back of the receiver and what about hooking up a power cable for it? I understand nothing from the ipod will be displayed on the h/u but will I be able to control the ipod without unplugging it and plugging it back in to change songs?

Thanks again.

You will have to get a car charger for the IPod if you want to be able to charge it.  You will also need a  1/8 inch headphone  to RCA adaptor.  You will have to plug that into the headphone jack of the IPod, and plug it in to the above mentioned IP-Bus input adaptor.   You will also have to go into the setup menu of the deck to enable the Aux Input function.

So do you recommend the one you showed or is the one I found on Ebay a better choice?

I'm not sure how to hook up the positive wire on this cable. I'm hoping it wont draw power all the time, even when the truck is turned off. It should only draw when the ipod is plugged in right?

Hook it to a key hot and it will only turn on when the key is on to charge the Ipod.

I have the older Pioneer Premier DEH-P860 HU and want to try and hook my ipod upto it. What is the best/easiest way to do this? Id there a link to a cable or an adapter I can use. I've got two amps hooked up to the HU right now, thats it.

Thank you in advance!

Is there a blue connector on the back of the unit?  Does it look like this will plug into that blue connector?
