Just keep the cap as close as possible to the amp. I have not notice any significant sound difference that was audible between your two choices.

A if your running multiple sub amps.
B if your running only 1 sub amp.

I'd go for choice A--it seems the most logical way in my opinion--power source before the splitting point.  lol and besides I don't really understand what you meant about "splitting it to a cap" so that ruled out choice B for meposted_image

If your using only 1 bass amp, I would go from the dist block to the cap, then to the bass amp. Wiring it this way will deliver all of the cap's energy to the bass amp. Highs amps don't really benefit from a cap, since a caps attempt to keep battery voltage constant during deep/long bass notes. Try to keep the distance from the cap to the amp to less than 18".

ok well i meant taking the wire from the cap to the d block....then 4 outputs from the block to the components.
i usually wire it wire cap dblock then to the amps. i figure the power would be equal throughout the whole range of the system and all could benifit from it.
