You'll never be able to "seal" the doors... You will always have water and weather paths at the window wiper. Also, because you have water getting IN, you have to leave the water drains at the bottom of the door open, so your car doesn't rust to the ground. Best option, and safest bet? Get a set of XTC baffles, cut them in half, and put one half over each woofer like a hat. This will keep water from getting to your driver backs.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I understand that I will never completely "seal" the doors and i know i need to leave the holes in the bottom of the doors for water and I already have xtc baffles.I guess to be more specific,I am asking how to properly sound deaden doors .I plan to use spray on s/d on the inner door skin and the inside of the door panel, dynamat the outside of the door panel. How do I seal the holes properly? do i use tape ?If so what kind. do i need to do some caulking as well?Thats why I was asking how to do it in steps.

If you are referring to the "Access Holes" You can seal it up with 1/8 inch plexy caulked to the door skin...........another option is to use aluminum flashing cut to cover the hole and riveted in place................Another option is to make a fiberglass "Patch" to cover the hole and rivet it in place

No problem something else you might want to consider is Putting split loom over the "rods" to prevent them from rattling.
