is it possible to wire resistors in parallel with my subwoofer to lower the resistance and get more wattage?

what kind of resistors and where can i buy them?

Wouldn't work the way you think. Lets say that you have a four ohm driver and your amp will put 100 watts into that driver bridged. Now if you were to wire a 4 ohm resistor parallel to the speaker your amp would now make 200 watts since you lowered the resistance to 2 ohms, but you would have half of that going to the speaker and the other half would be wasted going through the resistor. If you wanted to play around with it you need to realize a couple of things, first is how stable your amp is and second chances are that any resistor you get ahold of will burn up. Best bet would be to buy either another sub or a dvc sub.
