Hi all...

I'm curious to see what everyone's opinion would be on using head unit line outs for external amps and the amplified outs for speakers at the same time?

Pros?? Cons??

I just bought a pretty decent head unit and I was kicking around the idea of adding extra tweeters using the head unit's speaker outs since they are currently not being used at all.

Comments??

I wouldnt think it would be a problem as long as you've got a good way of crossing over your tweets.

While Technically there is no problem to set up your tweeters there, there is an actual application problem.
You see my friend the head unit is only driving approx 18W RMS from the headunit itself. Thus you might not be happy with the overall LEVEL of sound compared to the amplified speakers.
As an example when the unit is say at half way up, your speakers that are on the amp could be loud, and your tweeters sound fairly low.
