I have a JVC KD-AVX2 cd player. It just messed up yeserday and wouldnt go in power up or anything. So i was wondering if there was anything i could do to save it. And also get my cd out if i cant save it. I really dont want to send it in and get it fixed, out of the warranty

Check its fuse.
To extract the CD - remove the unit and remove its covers.
Ejectors are motor driven - you may be able to finger-turn the gears.
Otherwise tin-snips and cutters will do the job.

That may not be a task you want to take on. JVC decided that they were going mount their CD mechanisms upside down. Most decks are accessible by simply removing the top cover. Your deck not so easy to get to the cd mechanism.

Just because a piece of electonic equipment is broken does not make it junk. They can be repaired.

Otherwise I would have suggested he merely buy a replacement CD.

ok, so i went today and found a jvc-ar7000 for 75 dollars. i definately bought, at least for a temp. until i can get a new one of better quality and not used. but the fuse in back was still good and it was getting power when we tested it. i really didnt wanna go through the process of sending it in to get repaired because of the cost. i just assume buy something new, especially one of the newer jvc's with the usb on front, the higher end version. didnt salvage the cd, lol. just a burnt cd though. but thanks for the help. anybody have one of the higher end jvc's with the usb on front? if so, how are they?

Don't have a high end JVC but I am really thinking about getting one. Probably an arsenal series. Love the fact that the pre-amp outputs are 5 volt and not just 2 volts. That high voltage will give your amps a very clean signal and allow them to work there best.

yea, i had saw those. the one i bought today is from the arsenal line. just not as new, but for 75 you cant beat it. im probably gonna get one efter christmas and my birthday money
