1 ohm wiring

Hey, I current have

2x 1000rms at 1ohm or 750rms at 2ohm monoblock amps
1x Blaupunkt 18" Sub (Dual Voice Coil,1800rms).

I used to have just 1 amp (a mate wired it at 1ohm on that sub) so it had 1000rms going into it. Sounded mean. Now i got a second exact same model amp, and wondered how to wire 2x amps at 1ohm to the sub with dual voice coil? Any wiring diagrams?

The amps have 2 positve and 2 negatives each, currently 1 positive and 1 negative from each amp going to a matching voice coil. Im guessing this is would make 2ohm? making it 1500rms? because it sounds no different to when i just had the one amp in. So i was wondering how to wire it them both to 1ohm.

This is currently now how its wired. What power would be going into the sub like this? and how do i change it so i get full 2000rms

You can't.

The amp you currently have is a mono amp... one channel. The spec you stated for the amplifier (the 2x 1000rms one) can't be true - it's incorrect, wherever it comes from. It's 1X 1000 watts, connected to a 1-ohm load.

If you get a second amplifier, you will only be able to load it with one voice coil to each amplifier; i.e. if it is a DVC 4-ohm woofer, each amplifier can ONLY be wired to 4-ohms.

Please tell us your models, both amp and woofer, EXACTLY, so we can maybe see what your connection possibilities are. With the provided information, I can only assume that you are running a DVC 4 ohm woofer in parallel, presenting a 2-ohm load to the amplifer, for 750W.

*IF* your woofer is a DVC 2-ohm woofer, and you connect a second identical amplifier, you can ONLY load each amp to 2-ohms, in which case each amp will make 750W, powering the woofer with 1500 watts. Such a power boost (500 watts) will increase your output by LESS THAN 1.5dB, while increasing you power demands by 50A. 50A MORE CURRENT to net you an inaudible increase in output! Ridiculous trade, and a complete waste of time, effort and money.

Forget the "upgrade", as it ain't one at all... EVEN IF you could get two 1-ohm loads, and EVEN IF you could run 2000W to the woofer, you would still end up with less than 3dB of acoustic gain! You still wouldn't ever be able to hear it! It requires 10dB to be twice as loud, not 3...

I think you misunderstood, i dont have A 2x 1000rms one, i got two amps that are the same, which are 1000rms at 1 ohm each. like in the picture.

Sub is a vpw 460 blaupunkt, and im pretty sure the way its wired in that diagram is 750 each (2ohm), so it would be 1500 going into it.

And im pretty sure there is no way to change them down to 1ohm for a total of 2000rms.
Right?
