I'm trying to install a new stereo into my wifes 2004 Ford Expedition. I have the correct 24 pin harness adaptor, but there is another 16 pin harness that didn't come with the kit. Can anyone tell me where I can get this harness adaptor and what it's for?

OK. Found this info on www.installz.com. It says that that harness is for the DVD. Our Expedition does not have a dvd player and this harness is definitely plugged into the back of our OEM 6 Disc stereo.

Anyone got Anything??

Yep

However if you do have another 8-10 pin square looking plug, you WILL use that, and that is for a premium sound system.

Thanks for the help. I'm still curious what its for. I can understand if it was back there and not plugged into anything. But it's plugged into the back of the CD player.
