Need help as possible...i have install apline < color=#084c93>iDA-X305 head unit, 2 set of < color=#084c93>SPR-17S with < color=#084c93>PDX-4.100 amp, 1 sub < color=#084c93>SWR-1242D with < color=#084c93>PDX-1.600 amp, and 1F Rockford Fosgate capacitor....everything was good until maybe 1 month ago, i parked the car for 2 weeks and it didn't start....after jump the car started...driving about half hrs, park the car for 10 min. the battery dead...my main question is can my system killing the battery?? if it is, why now after 2 months.. any suggestion?? thanks ------------- pp

cap's will slowly drain the system, this has happened to me before also. they are alway's parasitic. remove the cap or get a disconnect for the stereo system for when your going to park it. maybe even just a battery tendor would work to keep everything fully charged. sounds like you really killed the battery deep cycles can sometimes recover from being drained to the max. but standard battery's will not ever fully recover. I personally just sold 2x 1 farad cap's. a better battery is better than a cap, or dual batt's :)

it is possible that even without the cap the deck's memory may drain the battery too. hopefully no interior light's were on or anything ;) 2 month's is quite a while. it's pretty easy to disco the negative terminal. I've actually had my car broken into and the ignition ripped clean out, someone trying to steal the entire car let alone the system. they couldn't start it cuz the battery was disco'd!!!

well i just took the fuse out of the amp main wire and the car start up fine...i will check up all the wire connections...

It seems many modern cars will not handle being left for more than a week (or a few) - especially if alarm systems and remotes are used.
Once a battery has been over-discharged, it may be stuffed. AGM/VRLA are very susceptible to that, but so too wet lead acids etc. (I am running 8 year old wet lead acids which have been flattened several times. Whilst they crank and start ok, they have very little hold-up/reserve time. I flattened one 2 days ago after leaving headlights on for 2-3 hours.)
But since I run a dual battery with a charge-controlled relay, I have enough reserve...
