alpine nve p1 not updating

Has anyone delt with this unit not updating? This one says that it is coming up to a year and needs to update, though when I try it does not update. This screen also has an OK touchbutton, and it seems to be out of calibration and barely shows up on the bottom right corner of the screen??

Any advice/remedy for this?

the nve p1 dosent have a screen r u talking bout the black bird either way alpine has had its share of problems with the black bird and the p1 it might be worth your trouble to take it to the shop were u bought it and see if there is still warrenty on it. there were just switching them out for the updated ones.
