ok so long story short i went and bought dynamat and a remote gain-(specific for my model amp) for my basically brand new latest model memphis PR1000.1D amp. everything was working prefectly fine. my batteries (under hood and kinteik) were all still connected (+/-) when i ran the remote gain wire from amp to under dash but the car and HU were all off. i first plugged in the remote wire-(phone jack looking plug duh

) into the amp, and after mounting the remote gain knob i plugged it in an boom.
the remote gain knob's power LED indicator flashed on then off. my amp blew all the 4 30 amp fuses. so i go to auto zone to buy more 30 amp fuses. this time i disconnected both +/- terminals from the battery under the hood and unplugged the remote gain wire from the amp completely. turn the car on, the amp comes on and then 2 seconds later blows all the fuses again.

to be more specific..... when i was putting in the new fusues after the first blow, fuse 1, 2, & 3 seemed to be ok but the 4th fuse stared arcing/sparking as i tried to insert the fuse into the slot.
someone please please please tell me < >< >wthis going on and how simply installing a remote gain can cause this problem
btw i have a 2nd jl300/4 amp for my components which was completely unaffected by this issue....
thanks in advance

did the remote gain knob and the cable come with your amp? If it works fine without it, do not connect iit untill we get this figured out. It sounds as though you are using the wrong knob or the wrong cable, this is causing your amp to oscillate and is going to take the power supply out if you continue turning it on..
