My previous stereo finally gave out early last year. Since then I have been using an mp3 player hooked up via 2 Y adapters to the RCA's. No problems what so ever. My amp (4 channel Lightning Audio Strike)and speakers (6.5 Pioneer 4 ways and Pioneer 6x9 5 ways)are all hooked up to a switch. I just installed a Brand new Pioneer FH-P8000BT. Pretty much plug and play. That was a few days ago. Yesterday, I started getting a lot of noise. Hissing, whining constantly whenever I flipped the switch on. I got more noise when I rolled the power windows up and down and when I touched the brake pedal and even the gas pedal. I thought it was the amp initially so I went through that whole checking process, checked the head unit, and all the RCA's. I found out that my passenger side speaker hadn't been working which also fed into my problem. I took apart that speaker and found out that one of the connections on the speaker had come off. I hooked it all back together, installed it again, and still the noise it there. Very rarely the noise goes away. The deck isn't completely installed yet though. The local car audio places are out of double din kits for my car until next week. My mp3 player is still hooked up and when I play it through the stereo, there is no other noise. Plays perfectly. I have completely run out of ideas.
The head unit: Pioneer FH-P8000BT
Speakers: 6.5 Pioneer 4 ways and Pioneer 6x9 5 ways
Amp: Lightning Audio Strike 400.4

I need some suggestion, please

As Mr. Idiot stated.........................^ ...Then if it was recently purchased...return it...! Does the sound increase in pitch when you press the gas...?

why would I want to return it? Do you think it's the deck? Or could it be the power wire from the battery to the 4 LED switches in the center console by my e-brake. That power wire runs from the battery into the passenger side, then com into the HU area, then to the switches. I never had this problem with my other Pioneer HU. And sometimes you can also hear buzzing when my driver's side power window rolls up and down. I need some answers. Got the deck Monday, so my return window is very small. Thanks in advance

You need to do the repair in the link provided...If this fixes the problem... you have done damage internally to the Pioneer radio...If you use the search feature there is about 300-400 posts regarding the same issue...Sure the problem "might" be something else...But if the repair fixes it and there is still a warranty for return...Do it...If i remember the most common way of doing this is having the RCA's and the power wire hooked up to the amp...But the ground was disconnected or poor connection...So basically at some point the ground was probably disconnected from the amp and the amp try to find ground through the RCA's...damaging the deck in the process...! ( i'm sure there are other situation...this is just the most common one i'm familiar with...) Check your grounds...
