Have a 2008 chevy 1500 truck. Wanting to keep the stock stereo, Picked up an adaptor to make it work but don't know what wires to hook into on the stereo part. It says I need to hook the gray wires to the right speaker output, white wires to the left speaker output, and the brown wires to the ground. I also do not know which wire to hook my remote wire to? Thanks in advance

The speaker wiring is the same as the 08 trailblazer.  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/vehicles.html

The remote wire will be a bit trickier.  Do not connect it to the orange wire of the radio.  The info has it as accessory data.  That means the computer turns the radio on.  Do not use the orange wire as remote. Some of our hands on guys should be able to help you with that.

use a bussmann bp/hhh mini fuse tap, find a 10 amp mini fuse that is keyed power on/off in the interior fuse block, install that fuse tap into the block with the 10 amp mini fuse for the circuit in the bottom slot and a 5 amp fuse in the upper part of the fuse tap and connect the output wire to the remote wire for the amp, job done. These fuse taps are the safest way to tap into a factory fuse panel and the easiest way to tap into a fuse panel without having to cut any wires.
