It's been quite some time since I have had to research new components for my car audio. Unfortunately I recently had my system stolen. The only thing left is my head unit. So.... I need to rebuild. I installed for a couple of years and competed as well, but that was ten years ago now. To give you an idea of what I was into, my previous system was a single ID-MAX 12, phoenix gold 475ti + mtx 81000d, image dynamics co-ax's in the doors.

I would like to spend around 800-1000 for new hardware and will spend more if it makes sense. I don't know what current pricing looks like at all. I just don't know what gear is good without spending tons of time I don't have researching, so that's why I am here.

I prefer to stay with co-ax just for ease of install. I only run 3 speakers, I have never liked rear-fill, so a good 4 channel or possibly 2ch + mono would be good as well. As for the sub section, I crave something with a low Fs, and doesn't need a ton of air space (I use my trunk for other things besides a stereo these days). I was thinking about going with single 10 or 12, maybe even an 8 or two. I have gravitated to subs that are happy in ported enclosures in the past.

By the way this is going into an 03 honda civic coupe.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have one already, installed, I'm pretty religious about setting it, but just this one time I forgot somehow. Arrrgg.. Oh well, the Phoenix gold was making some bad popping noises any how.

For the low end, I just went to my local audio shop today and listened to the JL Audio 6 inch subs... They had 4 in a ported enclosure... Wow, I was impressed. The box was small and they played clear and low. and they cost $150 each.
I dont have too much input for highs, (Im kinda an Alpine fanatic right now)

I know you new here, but please read the rules on selling gear. Both of your 2 post are trying to sell your gear. There is a reason you can't post in the for sale section. That doesn't mean you should just try to sell your gear in other forums in others threads.

*Members with 50 posts (Standard) or more may create new topics in the Buy and Sell Forum, all members may reply. All for sale posts made in other forums will be deleted without notice.
