hey guys, bought a 98 towncar signature with the JBL factory setup in it, only reason i knew was that i had noticed the JBL on the speaker grill. well i have a nice kenwood single DIN CD player with direct USB plugin and bluetooth capability and would like to replace the factory radio. i was originally going to go with a double DIN indash video but ive heard apparently you have to do modifications to the dash behind the radio.

so my first question is, does this JBL system qualify as the premier or audiophile system they speak of in different place. my second question is can i just do a plug and play in the dash area, or am i going to have to completely rewire the system like you have to with the 96 and up taurus's with the football dash , IE where you have to buy the $75 harness and run it from the trunk up to the front dash or is it a simple find the factory amp and use a bypass harness like with the earlier ford explorers(which was on the right rear side and just had to plug the harnesses together to bypass the amp.
