I searched and couldn't find anything, for mini, small, or micro amps.

What is the smallest amp? I found the arc audio xxd-2080, its 6 1/2" (L) x 7 1/8" (W) x 1 7/8" (H), but is there something in a smaller footprint?

I think we all get the jist of what you are asking......  however most people on this forum like to have some details.....

What is the project, vehicle, any other components.....  ect.....

When you say small, are you talking about electrical.....  as in watts, or external enclosure dimensions of the amp.....

Details motivate everyone here.....

Yep - no problem - provided the factory mid/high speakers are 400W per channel.

Not necessary at all to match the power rating of the amplifier to the speakers. It IS necessary to match the output of the amplifier to the power rating, using the "level matching stage", i.e. "gain control".

I have over 1300 watts RMS running my doors... 330 to the woofers (each) and 175 to each mid and tweeter. All those drivers combined equal a total power rating of under 600W.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Ah - the advantages of modtech. In ye olde bad days you'd have to add resistive ladders, else limit the rotation of the the loud dial. (Some would merely erase the higher numbers, but eventually some joker would turn it past its highest setting/number).

Thanks H for modernising me yet again.

so wat u guys sayng is that i can put a high amount of watts on my FACTORY mids/highs/ and a set of tweeters that i prob wud have to buy  but i wud have to turn my settings down on the amp. but if i turn the settin  down for those in door speakers , lets say to like low pass filter  with sum low frequence or sumthing then that means i cant use that same amp to push my subs becus i have the setting on my amp for the mid/highs/and tweetes.....? i wud need a 2nd amp for my subs.. correct?

I think it was pretty clear that he was talking about the footprint of the amp ,because of the dimensions and the question at the end in wich he asks for recommendations of amps with small footprints... just my 2 cents though!!!Anyone else not understand his question?

I'm talking about the actual dimensions of the amp, the footprint, as stated. And wth, why do people threadjack, why not start your own thread if you have a question.

As for the vehicle, its a 2004 saturn vue, i'm adding an amp, or trying to under the front drivers seat, there really isn't any room anywhere else. I'm using the factory headunit, its a double din dvd player, that plays disks on the roof mounted tv. When the dvd player is sending the audio to the tv, it uses the rear speakers only, the front speakers can be then tuned to a radio station and both the front and rear passengers can listen to different things.

I found the Arc Audio mini series of amp's, they have a 2 x 70 watt that's dimensions are 8.25(L) x 4.8” (W) x 1.7”(H). Is that the smallest amp I will find that is of a good quality?

Because experience tells us that if we start another thread to ask you a question, you probably won't find nor answer it.

There is also a principle of keeping the thread in one - not splitting it all over the place.

If you are referring to some serious hijacking, then alas I can't see it. I do see some tangential references, but these could be value-add depending on the limit and intent of your question (which for some was ambiguous).
I had reply once above for a thank-you -cum- light humour, IMHO that's a but short of hijacking.

But more importantly, do you now have the info you seek?

PS - I see now how you mean threadjack....
But that was almost 2 weeks ago; whilst waiting for more info from you; and following on from previous tabs. (And for Haemo - I should have said "handle), not is (400W) etc.)
Alas many hereon have daily access or access daily. The weekly or fortnighly access isn't that common.

No, I do have daily access, but either way, no one has yet answered my question. I therefore will post to a more knowledgeable forum with the hopes that they will be able to answer questions on a timely basis. Thanks though.

Cool. Unfortunately not all of us are that intuitive.
But you post was answered. As I said, I know of several that are way smaller than that which you quoted.

But other more knowledgeable people will obvioulsy know more than I do.
And no doubt will respond far quicker.

Sorry I/we couldn't weren't of any help.

Cheers.
