Hi,
Im new to this forum, hopefully this is posted in the correct place. I bought a used Pioneer avic-d3 unit. I removed it from a 2003 chvy Tahoe and want to install it into my 07 silverado ltz crew new body style, with factory bose, onstar, steering wheel controls and rear seat radio. Could someone familiar with this swap please send me any info about this swap. When I removed the stereo, I just unplugged the entire setup. also there is a box that reads scosche gm2000. Would some please tell me what items i would need to install this into my 07. I have not tried yet, unsure if the 03 wires will work on my 07. I assume I will loose the steering wheel controls ..right? will the rear seat radio still function. Maybe I should just remove the rear seat radio and install it in the back for the kids can use the dvd part in the rear seat.any advice would be great. Thank you. Tom

The wiring harness for the 03 will not work with your 07 silverado.  For the new body style chevy silverado chevy switched the radio harness.  You will have to locate a wire harness that will tie into your bose amplifier as well as your onstar if you want to keep using your onstar system.   Unfortunatly this is not the cheapest of harnesses.  If you look on metras web site as well as pac audios they both offer the wire harness you need.  You will also need a new dash kit.  As far as the steering wheel controls you will  lose that  option unless you get the integration part that pac also offers.  I also believe that you will lose the rear controls as well.
