I have a a Scosche Fm transmitter with a 5 pin mini usb input, I want to cut off the headphone from the handfree unit that came with my cell phone and connect the audio out to the FM transmitter to have my call through my car stereo. I will locate mic accordingly. Does anyone know the pin configuration to connect my audio + and - to. Thanks

Not gonna happen as simply as you'd like...

The 3.5mm is analog signal, the USB is a data interface. You need to cobble together an A/D converter to get the audio portion, and then you need a data interface to convert the PWM data from the A/D to a language that the USB supports and understands...

Best bet? Look around the 'net for a ready made solution that will fit your needs. It's not going to be something that's a simple plug to plug type of affair.

If you have a mini usb cable that you are willing to sacrifice, I am pretty sure you will be able to pull it off. You will need an ohm meter also. If you have both of those items, let me know.

Cut the cable and strip it to expose the wires inside. Strip each of the wires back a bit. Using the meter verify which of the wires is connected to the outer part of the Mini USB connector. It will probably be the outer shield that encases the 4 individual wires. Plug the cable into the Modulator, set the meter to the ohms selection. Touch and hold the black meter lead to the wire that you determined to be connected to the outer part of the housing. Then touch the red lead to the first wire. Be watching the meter when you touch it. Test each remaining wire, notice how the meter acts on each wire. There will be 2 wires that pretty much act the same way according to the meter. Chances are these 2 wires will be your input wires.

The 2 wires that act the same will be left and right. The first wire you found is the ground or shield.
