Need Info...Have to install the following, 12" DLS Pro Hammer Sub w/enclosure, Alpine Mono 500W Amp, Alpine 4 channel Amp, Alpine Type X separates for the front, Type R's for the rear, & Alpine Nav System. Have Amp kits, two caps, Stinger Dream Series RCA's, bus bar, dist block, ciricuit breakers, 0 and 4 ga. wire. Will be keeping factory H/U. Anything special I should know? This is a repair as original system was broken into. Job worth about $7,500.00. Thanks Irvin Cruz Installer Monmouth Stereo 732 423 4532...

Unless you want to hear OnStar, you don't need the headunit. If you remove the amp, you lose the door/parking light/seatbelt/low fuel/ low brake fluid chimes. Or you could use an OnStar interface.
