I have a pioneer head unit, hooked to a kicker zx150.2 amp, that runs to two Sony XPLOD 6x9s, I noticed a high pitch wine today, I checked all my wires, and disconnected the HU from the amp, and I'm still getting the wine, I can adjust the crossover frequency, and the pitch will go up and down with it.

https://bcae1.com/images/rca/temporaryrcashieldrepair.html would fix it if it was the head unit, but your saying its doing this with no rca to the amp?

If your radio passes the above test, your amp has the same type of fuse inside.  Let me know if you  need help troubleshooting the amp.   If the radio passes the test with the meter, do not waste your time soldering wires onto the patch cord.

Yea, it's showing .4 ohms, but I have the amp hooked up to the actual speaker wires, not the preouts

Turn the gain control of the amp all the way down.

What is the resistance between the outside conductor of the RCA jack of the amp and one of the non-bridged speaker wires?
