Switch your blue and blue/white wire around and you should be good.

switch to what? I have the power ant spliced into the 12v trigger on the ant adapter and the blue/white wire isn't connected to anything. The radio will play sound but not iPod, cd, or DVD.

Conect the blue white wire instead of the blue. The blue wire only has power on it when the tuner is on. The blue/white wire is hot any time the unit is powered up. Blue is for antenna. Blue/white is for power amp turn on.

Right...That's how I have it....I dont have amps. BlUE/WHITE wire is connected to a remote wire ran to the trunk empty waiting for amps. The Blue wire is connected to the antenna, like its suppose to be.
Either Im confused, or i am not explaining myself correctly.
Currently in a 2000 MBZ E320 I installed the alpine ivad106. I have amps, but no speakers for the doors yet, in the mean time I just want it hooked up to the factory bose system.
the blue/white wire is for amps, that is connected to a 20ft wire pre-ran to the trunk for the amps connected to nothing. the blue wire is connected to the antenna adapter (VWA2B- scosche amplified antenna adapter) I needed to get to still be able to use my FM. the foot brake + hand brake are connected to the PacTR7 (this was installed after I noticed the radio would play sound, but not cd, part of my troubleshooting). 12v is to 12v, ground is to ground, switched lead to ACC, the audio interupt goes to nothing and the highspeed ipod cable is plugged in.
When the Head unit is turned on. source is on radio. speakers are loud, music is playing, we're jamming. when i switch source over to CD/DVD; no sound, cant hear anything, elapse time on the disc is going, video works, but no audio.
When i switch over to IPOD, same thing, on the actual unit it is playing the song, but nothing is coming out from the speakers. switch back to radio, back to jamming.
i dont mean to sound like a jerk, just trying to explain everything to the T

Your vehicle has a factory installed amplifier. The wire on your harness is labeled antenna. It also controls the factory installed amplifier. Disconnect the blue wire from whatever you have it connected to, and now connect the blue/white wire to the wire you just disconnected the blue wire from. You were explaining yourself perfectly fine. This is a common problem. The solution provided WILL fix your problem.

Thank you for the help, I ended up taking the unit back to the place I bought it from, they told me the same thing, but when they checked it out, they couldnt figure it out. swapped the unit, and worked great.
