What are some choices of headunits with good sq at this time, i have heard eclipse headunits arent as good as they used to be.  Is the alpine cda 9887 still a good choice?  Is it worth getting the 9887 over the 9886?  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks...   Ryan

The Eclipse headunits are definitely a good product. The issue is that Eclipse pulled the pin on 95% of their aftermarket audio and decided to continue only with double din navigation units and accessories for them. Get a CD5030 and sit back and enjoy good sound.

Eclipse and Alpine are both good SQ products... My personal opinion, you can't go wrong with either of those lines.
