inverting two subswoofers

if i invert two subwoofers in a common chamber, do i have to reverse the polarity?

If you invert them both you won't have to, but you can.  As long as they are both wired the same polarity you should be in good shape!

Just as long as there not out of phase you should be good to go.

As the others have stated. If they are both the same no problems. The only reason you might switch phase would be if it is out of phase with say your front stage(midbass).

If there are any other subs beside the 2 inverted ones, then yes you must wire the inverted subs backwards.  The 2 inverted subs should be wired opposite of any traditionally mounted subs in the same vehicle.
