i work with dual 6 ohm subwoofers and i dont work with 1.5, 3, or 6 ohm amps. i would like to know if there is a way to figure how much an amp would be pushing. in a (i guess normal) situation i would have a rating of X watts at 4 ohms bridged but im not always at 4 ohms. could anyone tell me what a formula might be to figure for insance an amp that pushes 500 rms at 4 ohms bridged to a 3 ohm load?

If the amp works at 2ohm split the difference between it and 4 ohm. that should put you in a really close ball park. If the amp makes 500rms at 4ohm and 1000rms at 2ohm then it will output right at 750rms at 3ohm.

rite on man... thanks!!! now would that be the same being that its goin to be bridged? because im only getting a bridged at 4 ohm rating on the amp, im not getting anything that says bridged at 2 ohms.

then the amp is not stable under 4ohm bridged.
