I am looking for a new deck for my GP. I would like something with full ipod integration. I have tried several of the kenwood and alpine units about 5 years ago and thought they sucked so I stopped trying. I am looking for a unit now and would like some recommendations.

Thanks in advance

Im using a Kenwood excelon double din. ddx8120 it works perfectly. They really have come a long way with it. Full song, genre, artist ect. lists and easy touchscreen control for both music and video. Built in bluetooh also work flawlessly. you do need the iPod Interface: KCA-iP300V to make it work correctly though its around $20-30. If you have a local shop that has them i would go play with them. I know my local shop has them on display with everything hooked up so you can try it.

We don't have many shops around here that stock allot of radios now days. Seems most of them are slowly getting out of car audio.

Yeah, with grey market sales on the net and such its is very hard to survive at a brick and mortar shop. Thats why i do try to buy my gear though them. May cost more, most times quite a bit more, but they is nothing better then a face to face when you need to buy or return something.

As for the newer Kenwood decks, especially the double dins the iPod hook ups are on point. have not messed with the Alpine stuff in a while nor clarion, eclipse but i think there double dins are nearly as good if not as good in that department. Our shop carries them, but they were not as good of a buy for what i was looking for in features and price point. Not sure about single dins. My last 5 decks have all been doubles.

Thanks for the info. I am looking for a single din as my car is 1.5 din and I really don't feel like modding to work in a double din unit.
