Hello folks! Hope some one can help me...
Just got brand new Ram 1500, it comes with factory nav, bluetooth, sub and 7 or 9 speakers. Head unit is pretty good for my needs, but sound is horrible!
I understand this crap sound because of cheap speakers. I'm thinking to leave HU and replace just door speakers and sub (found custom sub box one Bay).

Now time for questions:
Can I install component speakers with my Head Unit? For all doors, or just in front?
Where is the best place for crossovers?
Can I connect my OEM HU to amp (if does how)?
If I install custom subwoofers, how to connect it to HU?
What wiring kit is good for my project?

Thanks for all your help!!!
Roman.

Yes, I suggest using the REQ5 module. What this does is takes the high level speaker inputs and gives you designated rear, front and subout along with an AUX input.

If your talking baout the speaker Xovers, then the best place is inside the cab somewhere. Don't mount them inside the doors because of moisture.

Depends on the amplifiers that you choose. 4 guage is standard but if your going to be running more powerful amplifiers, use 0 guage.
