1-10" sub sealed and a high quality 3-way component set. If your going for SQ judgement. With no SQ judgement, firing to tens literally into the seat backs and down firing 3" ports on each side of the enclosure, sure makes 1 heck of a impression. With the 2-10's plan, staging a 6.5" at the bottom of the door and a 5-1/4 right above it and 2 tweets above those, 1 pointed at each seat works well.

Gotcha! I got a ext cab Nissan Frontier. I just upgraded 1Kw more power and another sub. I'm testing it sealed for SQ first, but chances are I'll end up porting soon. That size sub and SQ just isnt going to happen. If your not lookin to compete your sound, the next best thing is impression. Some real low bass from a high power system. I try to talk people into large low/mid bass woofers in the rear doors/side panels of a conventional 2-seat'r.   Problem is blending in the sub to it. Blah! Before that, what interior plans do you have?

Hmmmm, RE's are cool. If your not looking to compete your sound, is brand going to be that big of a issue? In our sized vehicle's, a ported enclosure provides the most impressive experience. 2-15's ported may take a enclosure from the floor to the ceiling back there. Right now, I have 1.5ft3/sub sealed and my box goes up to almost the window line. This totally screws up the rear speakers and I'm thinking of removing them. I'd say for your setup to concentrate on the front doors holding a array of properly aimed mids and high's. Then seriously consider 10's and maybe going as many as 3 of them. Subs in pairs gets boring but trio setups usually catch a little more interest.
