I have a 01 Blazer, I have 4 orion xtr pro dvc 4 0hm 12's, pushed buy 2 1500w RF's. I had 1 set, just got a second set yesterday.

I am looking for PICTURES of existing blazer / S.U.V. walls and boxes, and ideas in general as to how these should be set up.

I listen to rap, and want the deepest bass possible that wont rattle the poop out of my roof, I never thought aiming them up was very good, I heard more flex than bass with just 2 subs.

I really like the idea of a wall, but I do not want to loose the back seat.

I would love to see pics of current walls and boxes with 4 subs (12's 15's, whatever), or ideas in general, maybe a link to some DIY page, I am finding it impossible to find decent pics, i dont want any fancy fiberglass setup, MDF and carpet is good, square is good.

Thanks everyone, I love the12volt.com, and have been here a lot.

Sorry about bad pic. This was 4-12's in a Yukon The 2 subs on top are inverted. Its a 2 chamber enclosure and they are wired 2ohm stereo, push and pull. Raised floor with fans. Easy build.

Aewsome, that looks nice. I have a question about that setup, I always thought that when you dual load a chamber like that "push / pull" setup, that you are not actually getting the output of 4 subs, that you only have the output of 2 subs, as in your volume would double if each sub had it's own box. I can imagine that the SQ would be better like you have, but that it would produce moor "boom" if each sub had it's own box. I may be wrong, but that was what I was told a long time ago, is this correct?

Thanks for the pics, keep them coming everybody, even if no pics are readily available, please describe your S.U.V.'s setup, mainly the sub box, firing direction, and placemen of subs related to other subs, and if individually boxed.

Any thoughts on building a wall, I have 4 12's, and want to keep the back seat, OEM says subs are to be in 1.5 ft of airspace, info from people who have owned the newest Orion xtp pro's would be especially helpful, more so on the box size for each sub.

Thanks ianarian
Thanks all

This system was all PG titanium, the last good equipment made by them. It was designed for a loud SQ sound.....in this sealed enclosure application, there was roughly 4.4ft3 for all 4 subs. I wont get into the different sound made from small/large enclosure's. Lets leave it at: Too Short sounds better in bigger boxes. The sub amp was 1Kw x 2ch. There were 3 different sealed enclosure's that we tested in the vehicle. Basically just different sizes and shapes. This setup sounded the best, hands down. Trust me, If I could achieve the same results with 2 subs, I would. If all four subs fit in a row facing the rear.....I would of done that. It may have changed things. Best thing, is to try different things. If you're not into that, pay someone to do it right. I been doing this 20yrs now, and I just built the 4th, repeat 4th box for my Frontier. I'll build 4 more if I have to. Most people are not as 4N4L as I am about results.

Ohh yea, I know I have changed my box and setup a few times, that is the only way to know what is best, I just had always thought that setup required twice the power for the same sound, but hey, what works, works. I have got mine set up the best so far, I got them down firing with about 1.75 per sub, ported to the floor also, seems to be the best for me. Thanks for the input.
